           Hello Parents and Caregivers,

Times have indeed changed, haven't they? Yesterday they wanted to play with make up at a sleepover and be silly with make overs. Today, our kids are concerned about cosmetic brands and prioritize factors such as quality, ingredients, and whether the products are cruelty-free. One thing that remains constant, however, is their love for makeup. These kids, tweens, gen Alpha or whatever you want to call them. They have become significant customers at Sephora, and the #sephorakids trend has taken the internet by storm. While a decade ago, inexpensive or generic play makeup sufficed, the passion and fascination for makeup have endured.

For generations, children have observed their moms getting ready and applying makeup, igniting a desire to play with makeup themselves. Brands quickly caught on to this trend. In the late 70s and early 80s, the first "play makeup" brand emerged and became a massive hit. As demand increased, more brands introduced various formulas, incorporating additional ingredients. Initially, quality wasn't a top priority since it was meant for play, right? Unfortunately, the rise in filler ingredients for mass production led to alarming consequences. Children began experiencing adverse effects, from hives and swollen lips and eyes to airway swelling, resulting in hospitalizations.

With the advent of the internet, more stories emerged, detailing children's negative reactions to play makeup. Investigations were prompted, with multiple cosmetic kits purchased from various sources. Samples were sent to a lab for analysis, and the results were shocking. Arsenic, carcinogens, animal feces, and a host of other harmful chemicals were detected in every tested product. These unnecessary fillers posed serious risks, especially for a child's delicate skin.

Given the prevalence of tainted children's makeup on the market, the question arises: what alternatives exist? Adult makeup is often too expensive for play or beginners, and adult formulas may contain ingredients unsuitable for a child's skin. Thus, a solution was needed. This led to the creation of Flower Baby, a brand specifically formulated for young skin, featuring high-quality natural ingredients. Our products are free of chemicals, cruelty-free, with minimal ingredients, and designed to be gentle on the skin. We've crafted a high-end makeup brand tailored for children, mirroring the sophistication of mom's makeup but created with them in mind.

The choice is yours! Whether it's play makeup, starter makeup, everyday makeup that's safe and cruelty-free, or a simple skincare line, we promise to provide you with a superior product. Use it as you see fit, and trust that Flower Baby is dedicated to offering a safe and enjoyable experience for your child.

Lots of love,
Flower Baby
